The Blood Brothers "Crimes"

FORMAT

With 2004's "Crimes," the Blood Brothers peeled back the frantic, feverish, and epic arrangements of the previous year's "...Burn, Piano Island, Burn" to reveal a streamlined post-hardcore sound that was skeletal, sassy, snarled, and scary. The Seattle, WA, quintet vamped through apocalyptic cabaret music, and critiqued the war on Iraq with to-the-bone punk-outs. Jordan Blilie and Johnny Whitney unfurled quixotic poetics through a patented tandem vocal attack of gothic murmurs and feral screams.
